The 2013 SBA Committee Working Conference was convened on January 29th. Chaired by Secretary General Ning Ruijie, the Conference saw the participation of Executive Vice Chairman Chen Zihao, all Secretary Generals, Directors of the 10 Committees and Leaders of the 24 Working Groups.   

Topics discussed at the conference included how to motivate the Committees and their respective Working Groups for further participation in the operation of SBA, how to give full play to the expertise of the Committees to push forward the development of the banking sector, and how to further improve the structures of committees and working groups. It was proposed at the conference that SBA should improve the structures of committees and working groups and set up a Legal Committee or Legal Working Group, elevate independently-operating Working Groups to committee status, and merge Working Groups with similar functions. The Conference also called for renewed efforts for 2013 on improving financial literacy , seeking positive publicity of the local banking sector, communicating with financial service authorities as well as relevant government departments, and meanwhile improving the committee assessment and incentive mechanism.
